Bonhoeffer seminar

Augusta's First Baptist Church is holding a series of discussions about the life and legacy of the late theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was one of the first voices of resistance to Adolf Hitler. The event includes discussions, a movie and a dramatic performance, and will be held at 6:30 p.m. today and Wednesday and on Sept. 20 and 24. Spanish class

Fair pageant seeks contestants
Contestants are being sought for the 2006 Miss Columbia County Fair Scholarship Pageant to be held Sept. 30 at Evans High School. The pageant, sponsored by the Merchants Association of Columbia County, is for single women ages 17-24 and includes competition in evening gown, swimsuit, sportswear and interview categories.
