Rebecca McCall Bohler, of Martinez and daughter of Vickie Kerzic, was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Samford University.

Jill Marie Downey, of Martinez and daughter of Gloria Downey, was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law.

Graduates

Marvin Lakeith Phillips, of Grovetown, graduated from Saint Leo University with an associate of arts degree in liberal arts June 10.

Mercer University School of Medicine awarded Martinez resident Nisha Patel, daughter of Sudha and Ramesh Patel, a doctor of medicine degree during a May 6 commencement in Macon. Patel was also honored with the Outstanding Student in Emergency Medicine Award and the Outstanding Student in Psychiatry Award.

Jack Landrum Hixon, of Evans, recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in animation.

The following students have graduated from Agnes Scott College: Hajra M. Hasan, of Evans, the daughter of Khadija Hasan and Mohammad Hasan, with a bachelor's degree in international relations; Christina J. Ward, of Martinez, the daughter of Clarence Ward and Deborah Ward, with a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in Africana studies.

Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant Susan Knox, of Evans, has earned the use of a new red Pontiac Vibe as a result of outstanding achievement in operating her Mary Kay business.
