Columbia County Advocates for Special Education PTO will hold a 10th anniversary celebration from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Evans Elementary School.

Family, teachers, friends and community supporters are welcome. The free event will be held rain or shine, with hot dogs, barbecue, drinks and side dishes provided. Participants may also bring side dishes.

GOP breakfast

U.S. Rep. Charlie Norwood is the scheduled speaker for the monthly Columbia County Republican Party Breakfast, set for 9 a.m. Saturday at the Columbia County Government Complex Auditorium, on Ronald Reagan Drive, in Evans. Breakfast, catered by The Peppermill restaurant, costs $6.

Open enrollment

Evans Community Preparatory School, on Cox Road, in Evans, is holding open enrollment for students in kindergarten to eighth grade. The school offers small classes with ABeka curriculum for K-5, and A.C.E. curriculum for grades 6-8. For information, call (706) 447-4113.

Church holds open house today

Bible Cathedral, 1116 Furys Ferry Road, Evans, will hold an open house from 6-8 p.m. today, with free dinner and games. Registration for Awana Club will be available for ages 3 years to fifth grade.
