Tennis league opens

The CSRA Junior Tennis League will have open registration for the fall tennis season starting today through Aug. 20. Anyone between the ages of 8 and 18 is welcome. To register, go to www.csratennis.com and in the menu under "Registration" and "Juniors" click on "Player". The league fee is $20 plus a $2 TennisLink fee. Golf tournament

The Patriot Day Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 11 at Mount Vintage Plantation Golf Club in North Augusta to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Registration and lunch will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. The tournament will follow a shamble format and a four-player team will cost $1,000. Ultimate games

The Augusta Ultimate Club is looking for players high school age and older to play pickup games on Sundays at 1:30 p.m. at the old soccer field at Riverview Park in North Augusta. For more information go to sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/augusta-ultimate

Charity basketball

The 13th annual Jawbones vs. Sawbones (lawyers vs. doctors) basketball game, benefiting Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services, will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Greenbrier High School gym. The event will have food, door prizes and halftime entertainment. For information call (706) 231-4640.
