Football camp
The sixth annual Football-R-Us football clinic and conditioning camp for pupils in grades 4-8 will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Tuesday and Aug. 3 ,4 at Lakeside High School. The camp costs $50, and $25 for a second child in the same family, with registration limited to 60.

Home school baseball
The CSRA Crusaders home school baseball team and head coach Chileno Valdez are looking for any home-schooled middle and high school boys interested in playing baseball to fill middle school, junior varsity and varsity rosters. Any boy attending a private school with no baseball program also may try out.

Charity basketball
The 13th annual Jawbones vs. Sawbones (lawyers vs. doctors) basketball game, benefiting Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services, will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Greenbrier High School gym. The event will have food, door prizes and halftime entertainment. For information call (706) 231-4640.
Players sought for baseball team
The Columbia County Stealth, an established U-12 baseball team, is seeking new players who are willing to travel and play at a high level of competition.
