Free produce

Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church, at 703 Furys Ferry Road, Evans, will give away free produce to needy families starting at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 12. Free car washes also will be available.

Boat safety class

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will offer a boating safety class for 12- to 15-year-olds Aug. 14 at Mistletoe State Park, in Winfield. Staffers from the Georgia Legal Services Program will offer free legal help on civil, noncriminal issues to people 60 and older from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Grovetown Senior Center at 103 W. Robinson St.
