Free produce
Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church, at 703 Furys Ferry Road, Evans, will give away free produce to needy families starting at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 12. Free car washes also will be available.

Boat safety class
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will offer a boating safety class for 12- to 15-year-olds Aug. 14 at Mistletoe State Park, in Winfield.
