Symphony series
The Augusta Symphony will inaugurate its Columbia County Music Series at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center, in Evans. The series includes four concerts, with tickets costing $70 for all four. For information, call (706) 826-4705.
New library hours
The Columbia County Library in Evans has increased its hours of operation during the remainder of the summer. Until Aug. 3, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and from 2-5 p.m. Sundays.
Bible school
