Beagle club

The CSRA Beagle Club will hold its seventh annual barbecue and trade day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 29 at the Winfield Community Center, with pet supplies, a reptile show, pony rides and BB gun safety and marksmanship training. Red Cross classes

The American Red Cross of Augusta will hold the following training classes in July at the Red Cross office, at 1322 Ellis St.: adult CPR, first aid and bloodborne pathogens, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday; Adult CPR and AED, 6-9 p.m., July 24; first aid, 6-9 p.m., July 25; and infant and child CPR, 6-9 p.m., July 26. Boat safety class

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will offer a boating safety class for 12-15-year-olds on Monday and Aug. 14 at Mistletoe State Park, in Winfield. The class is a requirement for youths who want to operate a boat or personal watercraft. There is no charge for the class, but advance registration is required. For information, call (706) 595-4211.

Prizes for donors

To preempt expected shortages in July, Shepeard Community Blood Center is holding drawings for prizes each week. Donors are eligible to win a $250 Visa gift card through Friday; an XBox 360 July 22-28; and a 60 gb iPod with video July 29-Aug. 5. Legal assistance
