Editor:
I enjoyed Barry Paschal's June 25 column, and I hope his assessment of the legitimacy of the Ray McBerry campaign and his chances are shared by all of Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue's supporters, so much so that they do not take time away from chasing the Yankee buck to go vote.
According to the Republican Party, Perdue is unopposed in the primary, so why vote for him if no one is running against him? It may just be wishful thinking on my part, but I sense the perfect storm brewing. If the people who want a true conservative and support the 1956 flag turn out, McBerry wins easily. If only the hard-core Confederate Americans like me turn out, McBerry may win. If the Democrats cross over and decide to knock Perdue out in the primary, then McBerry wins easily.
The problem McBerry has is getting the people to realize he is an option, as most do not even know he is running thanks to the GOP and their media cronies. I realize there are a lot of ifs in the preceding statements, but the only if that really matters is if God wants McBerry to win, then McBerry will win and there is nothing Mammon can do to stop him. If McBerry wins, we will give God all the glory as it will take a miracle as the fix is obviously in to get Perdue re-elected.
Visit GeorgiaFirst.org to see the McBerry platform, that he is a Christian and a conservative and most importantly that he is not a career politician or a lawyer. He is a common working man who will put Georgia first. Ray McBerry stands for the truth and is as sick of political correctness as we all are. These are the reasons I would encourage my fellow Georgians to vote for Ray McBerry.
