Organ concert

John George, director of the music ministry of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, will perform a free concert of Bach organ works on the church's new organ at 2 p.m. July 9 at the church, located at 4291 Columbia Road. Refreshments will be provided after the concert, and signed CDs will be for sale for $15. VFW barbecue
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3200 will hold an Independence Day barbecue from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the post, 2901 Gun Club Road, Augusta, with takeout available. For information, call (706) 736-9046.

Outdoor movies
The final showing of the MCG Children's Medical Center's Movies Under the Stars will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Columbia County Merchants Association Fairgrounds. "Madagascar" wil be shown.
