Big boxes in Evans wouldn't be so bad if more trees were protected

I agree with the editorial written about the big box problem that is coming to Columbia County ("Evans town vision takes big-box detour," June 25).

I really think all this could be avoided if we would just require the general contractors to leave green spaces around new construction. I am all for new construction, but let's leave some trees around the construction sites.

Construction and trees can co-exist; an example of this is Hilton Head Island.
