Absence from flag debate pays back commissioners

I was just paying my water bill and noticed in the "Endless Opportunities" insert that our Columbia County Commission thinks it only fair to let the voters decide by referendum whether or not Columbia County should be consolidated.

I thought this was the same argument used by supporters of the old Georgia state flag. Where were these commissioners when that debate was going on? What goes around, comes around.
