Adopt-a-Stream
Columbia County Adopt-a-Stream has scheduled a Getting Started session for those interested in participating in water-quality studies. Columbia County's Third Saturday farmers market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the memorial garden behind the library in Evans.

Free oil changes
Members of Mosaic United Methodist Church will perform free oil changes from 1-4 p.m. June 25 for single mothers and the wives of deployed service men. The event will take place in the parking lot of the church, at 478 Columbia Industrial Blvd., in Evans, just off Evans to Locks Road.

Worship series
Faith Community Ministry Inc., the mission project of Macedonia Baptist Church, is holding a summer worship series at 9-10 a.m. each Sunday at Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center at the Columbia County Library, in Evans. The series is led by Norman V. Carter.
