Archery classes
The Elite of Georgia Archery Club is offering beginner, intermediate and advance instruction for adults and children ages 7 and older. Summer classes are held Thursday at 6 p.m. during June and July. Cost is $40 per person for a four-week, one-hour class. Classes are held at the Augusta Jewish Community Center baseball field in Evans.
All necessary archery equipment will be provided for the beginner courses. Registration is required.

Cheerleading camp
The Greenbrier Cheerpack is offering a Greenbrier "Pep" School on June 19-21 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for interested cheerleaders in Pre-K through eighth grade. Cost of the event is $75, which includes a daily snack, T-shirt, and admission and dinner at a varsity game.

Golf camp
Applications are being accepted for the David Usry Junior Golf Academy summer camps at North Augusta Country Club. Middle school basketball camps
The Sure Shot Basketball Camp for boys entering grades 6-9 will be from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at Riverside Middle School. Cost of the camp is $80. For boys and girls entering grades 2-5, camps run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday and June 24-28. Each weeklong camp costs $75 and will take place at Lakeside Middle School.

Baseball showcase
The Georgia Dugout Club and USA Baseball are sponsoring the 2006 Georgia Underclassmen Showcase for rising 10th-, 11th- and 12th-grade baseball players. The showcase will take place at 10 colleges throughout the state and will come to Augusta State University on Wednesday. Cost to participate is $100. At least 32 colleges and 21 Major League organizations will be on hand at the event. Soccer tryouts
The Columbia County Patriots Select Soccer tryouts for the 2006-07 season for boys and girls ages 11-19 will be held Monday-June 19. All tryouts will be held at Patriots Park beginning at 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on Saturdays. All competitive players from Fort Gordon and the Aiken-Augusta area are invited to attend. Summer sports camps
Aquinas High School is offering summer sports camps for pupils entering grades 5-8. The school will offer Baseball Camp (Monday-Thursday), Cheerleading Camp (June 19-22), Volleyball Camp (June 26-30) and Soccer Camp (July 10-14). Limited space is available and the cost of each non-soccer camp is $100. The cost of the soccer camp is $115. Volleyball clinics
The CSRA Heat Volleyball Club will hold Sunday Summer Clinics through July 30 at Augusta Preparatory Day School from 2 to 4 p.m. The clinics are open to middle and high school girls of all skill levels. Golf camp
YMCA summer golf camps will run through July for boys and girls ages 6 to 17. Each four-day camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bartram Trail Golf Course. Camps for ages 14 to 17 will be July 10-13. Camps for ages 10 to 13 will be Monday-Thursday and July 17-20, and camps for ages 6 to 9 will be June 19-22 and June 24-27.
