Faith Community Ministry Inc., the mission project of Macedonia Baptist Church, begins a summer worship series at 1 p.m. today at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center at the Columbia County Library in Evans. Call (706) 737-4298.

Candidate forum

The Democratic Party of Columbia County will hold a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Monday at the Columbia County Government Complex Auditorium in Evans. Greg Hecht and Jim Martin, candidates for lieutenant governor, have been invited. Additional speakers include 10th District U.S. House candidate Terry Holley and District 1 Columbia County Commission candidate Scott Nichols. For information, call (706) 533-5015.

Service is added

Riverview United Methodist Church, at 1244 Furys Ferry Road in Evans, has added a 9 a.m. worship service. Sunday school is held at 10 a.m., with the regular service at 11 a.m.

Choral concert
