Sports camps

Aquinas High School is offering summer sports camps for pupils entering grades 5-8. The school will offer basketball camp (Monday-June 9), baseball camp (June 12-15), cheerleading camp (June 19-22), volleyball camp (June 26-30) and soccer camp (July 10-14). Limited space is available, and the cost of each camp is $100, except for soccer camp, which costs is $115.

Golf tournament

The 20th annual Alltel Boy Scout Golf Classic and Auction will take place Monday at Mount Vintage Plantation and Golf Club. Registration for the tournament, which will be played in the Lauderdale format, starts at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon, followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost is $500 per four-member team and $150 for individuals.

Volleyball camp

Augusta Prep's fourth annual summer volleyball camp will be June 12-16. There will be two sessions: middle school (grades 5-8) from 9 a.m.-noon, and high school (grades 9-12) from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $100 and includes a camp T-shirt. Basketball camp

Rowing camp

The Augusta Rowing Club Junior Program is holding a Learn to Row camp at the boathouse in Augusta on June 19-23 from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost of the camp is $85, which includes a T-shirt and $50 reduction in fall season dues. For information, go to augustarowingclub.org or call (706) 432-0022.

Basketball camp

The Dip Metress Basketball Academy will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19-23 at Augusta State University. ASU men's basketball coach Dip Metress will direct the camp, open to boys and girls from grades 1-7. The cost of the camp is $150, which includes a daily lunch and camp T-shirt. Golf tournament

The 41st annual North Augusta Country Club/Sertoma Junior Invitational Golf Tournament will take place June 20-22 at North Augusta Country Club. The 54-hole medal-play tournament is limited to the first 100 entries ages 11-18 who qualify. The entry fee is $40 and includes a practice round and the banquet.

Augusta Prep's annual summer basketball camp will be held Monday through June 9. Camp for girls going into grades 4-9 and boys going into grades 4-5 will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Camp for boys going into grades 6-9 will take place from 1-4 p.m. The cost for the camp is $100.

Golf camp

Applications are being accepted for the David Usry Junior Golf Academy summer camps at North Augusta Country Club. The program offers a series of three-day camps from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through June 8, June 13-15, July 4-6, July 18-20 and July 25-27.

Baseball camp

The Harlem Bulldog baseball camp will take place Monday through June 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Harlem recreational field. The cost of the camp is $50. For information, call Jimmie Lewis at (706) 556-6659 or Benji Moore at (706) 556-9136.

Travel baseball

The Augusta Heat, a U-12 traveling baseball team, is in need of players. The team is committed to travel baseball and wants to add players, preferably pitchers. The players must turn 13 after May 1.

Baseball camp

Evans High School will hold its annual baseball camps the weeks of Monday through June 9 and June 19-23 from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp is open to anyone ages 5-14 who has not entered high school. Golf camp

YMCA summer golf camps will run through June and July for boys and girls ages 6-17. Each four-day camp will take place Mondays-Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bartram Trail Golf Course. Camps for ages 14-17 with be Monday through June 8 and July 10-13. Camps for ages 10-13 will be June 12-15 and July 17-20, and camps for ages 6-9 will be June 19-22 and June 24-27. A limited supply of equipment will be available, but campers are urged to bring their own clubs.

Volleyball clinics

The CSRA Heat Volleyball Club will hold Sunday summer clinics from from 2-4 p.m. June 4 through July 30 at Augusta Prep. The clinics are open to middle school and high school girls from beginners to advanced players. The cost is $65 for all nine sessions, or $60 if paid before May 26. Cheerleading

The Greenbrier Cheerpack is offering a Greenbrier "pep" school June 19-21 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for cheerleaders in Pre-K through eighth grade. The cost of the event is $75, or $60 before June 1, which pays for a daily snack, T-shirt, and admission and dinner at a varsity game.
