Vanderbilt honors

Nakul Singh Shekhawat, son of Drs. Prem and Rashmi Shekhawat, of Evans, was named to the Dean's List for the 2005 fall semester at Vanderbilt University for maintaining a 3.25 grade-point average in the School of Engineering.

The following students were named to the Dean's List for the 2005 fall semester at Vanderbilt University for maintaining a minimum 3.5 grade-point average for arts and science: Samuel Ryan Cassady, son of Mrs. Sandra A. Nehlen, of Evans; and Monica Pankaj Bhatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pankaj N. Bhatt.

Furman Dean's List

The following students were named to the Furman University Dean's List for the 2005 fall semester for maintaining a 3.4 grade-point average: Ashley E. Sisco, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sisco, of Evans; Adnan Filipovic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Damir Filipovic, of Martinez; and Jennifer A. Walters, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Walters, of Martinez.

West Georgia

Philip Brewer, Laura Schmidt and Jennifer Wells, all of Evans, were named to the Dean's List for the 2005 fall semester at the University of West Georgia.

Berry College

The following students were named to the Berry College Dean's List for the 2005 fall semester:

Deana Victoria Robinson, of Augusta, majoring in psychology, daughter of Forrest and Melinda Robinson.

Patrick S. Allison, a senior communication and art major, son of Thomas and Debra Allison. Allison is the online editor for the college's student newspaper, the Campus Carrier. The Campus Carrier's Web site was named the state's best by the Georgia College Press Association. Allison also received an individual award for his work on the Web site.

University of Evansville

Jessica Marlatt, of Evans, was named to the University of Evansville Dean's List for the 2005 fall semester. Marlatt is the daughter of Tim and Kim Marlatt, of Evans.

Georgetown

Brian Albert Apostol Nafarrete, of Evans, was named to the Georgetown University fall Dean's List.

Valdosta State

The following students have been named to the 2005 fall dean's list at Valdosta State University: Katie Elizabeth Crislip, of Evans; Adrienne Marie Harris, of Evans; and Richard Thomas Gaddy, of Martinez.

Benjamin Robert Prange, of Martinez, is a fall 2005 graduate of Valdosta State University with a bachelor's in business administration marketing.

Avon Old Farms

Kai-Cheng Ho, of Martinez, is a post graduate named to the Avon Old Farms School Headmaster's List for the first semester, 2005-06.
