Riverview UMC adds early service starting June 4

Riverview United Methodist Church, 1244 Furys Ferry Road in Evans, is adding a 9 a.m. service on Sundays starting June 4. Sunday school is held at 10 a.m., with the regular service at 11 a.m.
'Da Vinci' discussion

Questions sought
The Columbia County Republican Party is seeking questions from the public for use in debates among candidates for the Columbia County Commission chairmanship. The first debate, at 7 p.m. Thursday at Grovetown Middle School, will include candidates for Grovetown City Council. The second debate will be at 7 p.m. June 22 at Lakeside High School. Reading programs
The East Central Georgia Regional Libraries vacation reading program is under way, with prizes for participants who read 20 books or read for 10 hours to complete the program. Information folders are available at any Columbia County library, and must be turned in by each library's closing July 28.
Single parents
A new single parent support group will begin meeting at 5:30 p.m. today in Room ES 226 at First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Child care is available. Call Ty Lochridge at (803) 279-6370.
Parkinson group
