Riverview United Methodist Church, at 1244 Furys Ferry Road, in Evans, will add a 9 a.m. Sunday service starting June. 4. Sunday school is held at 10 a.m., with the regular service at 11 a.m.

Archaeology Day

The Augusta Achaeological Society will hold Archaeology Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Ezekiel Harris House on Broad Street in Augusta. Archaeologists will be available to identify and classify prehistoric and historic artifacts. Tours and demonstrations also will be available. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Augusta Museum of History, 560 Reynolds St.

Memorial Day celebrations

Columbia County's sixth annual Red, White and Blue Veterans Celebration will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. May 27 in front of the Justice Center in Evans, with patriotic performances from the U.S. Army Signal Corps Band and the Navy Chorus, remarks from Fort Gordon's commanding general, and fireworks at dusk. Voter registration

Columbia County's Board of Elections will hold a voter registration drives from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Circle K in Appling.
