Severance named Miss Forestry

The new Miss Columbia County Forestry is Pamela Kay Severance, daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Glenn E. Severance of Evans. She will represent Columbia County in the Miss Georgia Forestry Contest at the State Forestry Convention in June on Jekyll Island.

Pamela is 17 years old and a junior at Evans High School.

The Little Miss Pine Seedling is Kathy Michele Spearman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Spearman, of Martinez.

First runner-up in the Miss Forestry contest was Barbara Ellen Harrington, daughter of Vera Wiederspahn of Martinez, and her Pine Seedling was Elizabeth Ann Wilkes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wilkes of Martinez.
