Columbia County Juvenile Court is seeking volunteers for the Citizens Panel for Foster Care Review. After training, volunteers meet once a month and review compliance with court-ordered foster care. For information, call Brian Stutts at (706) 860-0661.

Service added

Riverside United Methodist Church, at 1244 Furys Ferry Road, in Evans, has now added a 9 a.m. service on Sundays. Sunday school is held at 10 a.m., with the regular service at 11 a.m.

Legislative breakfast

Disaster training

The American Red Cross of Augusta will hold training for disaster volunteers in May and June, starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The programs are free, but registration is required. For information, call Ray Edgar at (706) 724-8481.

Gardening at lunch

The Columbia County Extension Service's Gardening at Lunch program will be held from 12:10 to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Columbia County Government Complex Auditorium in Evans. County Agent Charles Philips will discuss summer annuals. For information, call (706) 868-3413.
