The annual Israel Experience will be held from 1-4 p.m. today at the Augusta Jewish Community Center, 898 Weinberger Way, Evans, featuring cultural entertainment and food, children's activities including live camels and a petting zoo, and Israeli art.
Signal Corps show

Road closure
Parts of Washington Road near Davis Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday for utility work as part of the Davis Road widening project.
Foster review
Columbia County Juvenile Court is seeking volunteers for the Citizens Panel for Foster Care Review. After training, volunteers meet once a month and review compliance with court-ordered foster care. For information, call Brian Stutts at (706) 860-0661.

Voter registration
Columbia County's Board of Elections will hold voter registration drives from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the IGA in Harlem and May 20 at the Circle K in Appling. For information and other drive dates, call (706) 868-3355.
Church anniversary
Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church of Thomson will celebrate its 137th anniversary at 2:30 p.m. today with the Rev. Henderson Roberson and Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Harlem. Dinner will be served.
Council elections
The South Columbia Elementary School Council parent member election will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria. Parents who are elected must have a child enrolled in the school. To be submitted as a candidate, call Principal Susan Gilbert by May 5 at (706) 855-6960.
