Spring revival

Old Union Baptist Church, on Old Union Road, Harlem, will hold its spring revival at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. today, and at 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.

The guest minister will be J. Gerald Harris, editor of The Christian Index and former pastor of Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta.

Youth Leadership applications open

Monday is the deadline for applications for the 2007 class of Youth Leadership Columbia County, open to students entering the 10th and 11th grades in fall 2006.

Students must be residents of Columbia County.

Hope Soap

Hope Soap, a private, nonprofit agency that collects toiletries and packages and distributes them to area shelters, has collection sites in the community.

Donations, particularly of personal-sized items from hotels, may be brought to The Columbia County News-Times, in the Publix shopping center on Washington Road, Evans, and Wild Birds Unlimited, West Town Shopping Center, Martinez.

Chamber breakfast

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Not Just Coffee breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m. April 11 at the new Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center at the Columbia County Library on North Belair Road.

Planning to visit the practice rounds or Par 3 tournament at The Augusta National? Cameras are allowed at the course on those days, and we'd like to show off your family photos of visits to the famed tournament.
