Greenbrier on track
A full day of track events highlighted this year's Wolf-pack Classic on Saturday at Greenbrier High School. Nine schools competed in the competition. Greenbrier's boys and girls both took second place, with 97.5 and 125 points, respectively. Lakeside's girls finished in fifth place, while the Panther boys took seventh. Harlem earned seventh- and eighth-place finishes in the boys and girls competition.
Lakeside's Lance Driggers won the boys discus throw, and Greenbrier's Jarvis McMichael, Lauren Lee, LaShawn Butler, Amber Shaw, Chelsea Maxwell and Mickenzie Debuck all took first place in their events.
In the win column
In baseball action Saturday, the Harlem Bulldogs celebrated Diamond Dog Day with their first two wins of the season. The Bulldogs defeated Jefferson County 8-2 and Oglethorpe County 8-0. Harlem's Rodney Scruggs (1-1) got the win over Jefferson County, and Patrick Gamblin (1-0) took the victory against Oglethorpe County.
