C-CASE meeting
An informational meeting about services available for special needs children will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Evans High School. GOP breakfast
The Columbia County Republican Party's monthly breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Peppermill Restaurant in Evans. County Commission Chairman Ron Cross will be the guest speaker. Breakfast costs $6, or $3 for Teenage Republicans.
Red Cross training
The Red Cross will offer a baby sitter's training class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 25 at Patriots Park Gym for participants ages 11-15. Cost is $30. A baby sitter's instructor course will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Harlem Library. For information, call 724-8481, ext. 211.
Tobacco program
Mount Enon Baptist Church, at 4678 Washington Road, Evans, is forming a partnership with the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer, the Georgia Ethnic Health Network and the Morehouse School of Medicine to present a health care awareness seminar, Clearing the Air: Tobacco Control for African-Americans, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the church fellowship hall. Prayer seminar
Leah Cunningham, the PrayerForce director for the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, will lead a prayer seminar and healing service at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Winfield at 5:30 p.m. March 19. For information, call the Rev. Dan White at 832-0986.
