Empty Bowl event

The fifth annual Empty Bowl fundraiser for Golden Harvest Food Bank will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Augusta Jewish Community Center, 898 Weinberger Way, Evans, near Riverside Middle School. Tickets cost $15, or $5 for children, and include a buffet from local restaurants and caterers and pottery from local students and professional artists. A silent auction also will be held. Democrats meet

Italian supper

American Legion Auxiliaries will serve an Italian supper at Legion Post 192 off Owens Road in Evans from 5:30 p.m. Tuesday until the food runs out. Plates cost $5.
