The two-week window is about to close on Columbia County's school calendar survey.
County residents have until midnight tonight, Feb. 26, to go to the county's Web site, www.ccboe.net, and give input on a direction for future school calendars. Three options are offered:
Calendar A starts the year on Aug. 23, but pushes semester exams to two weeks after Christmas.
Calendar B starts school a little later than the current calendar. Exams come before Christmas by eliminating the popular fall break.
Calendar C is similar to the current calendar.
School officials say they will use the survey only as a guide. Even so, today is the last chance for input, and those who don't take a minute to fill out the survey shouldn't complain about the eventual outcome.
