Student helps with Louisiana relief work

Kevin Lillis, along with more than 100 Harding University students, recently drove into the deserted suburbs of New Orleans to clear out debris, transport supplies and offer support to victims of the storm. Kevin is a freshman nursing major from Evans.

Samford University fall dean's list

Christy Jeanne Adkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Adkins; Rebecca McCall Bohler, daughter of Vickie Kerzic; and Jessica Marie Colbert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Colbert, all of Martinez, have made the dean's list for the fall semester at Samford University.

Augusta State Univ. fall dean's list

Charles Derrick Quarles, Jr., of Martinez, has been appointed to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester by the faculty of the Katherine Reese Pamplin College of Arts and Sciences of Augusta State University.

Fairmont State Univ. fall president's list

Jamal Womble, of Augusta, has been named to the president's list for the fall semester at Fairmont State University by achieving a 4.0 grade point average. The 6-foot-7-inch former Augusta Christian standout is a freshman at Fairmont State University. Jamal is the son of Melvin and Pam Womble.
