Columbia County School Superintendent Tommy Price and School Board Chairman Wayne Bridges will be the guest speakers at 9 a.m. Saturday at the monthly breakfast meeting of the Columbia County Republican Party. The group meets at the Peppermill Restaurant in Evans. Breakfast costs $6.

Pesticide test
The Georgia Commercial Pesticide Test will be given Thursday at the Columbia County Extension Service Office at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. A review session for Category 24 will be held from 9-11:30 a.m., with the test at 1 p.m. The cost for the exam is $25 by check or money order only to the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
