UGA achievement
Kimberlyn Horney, the daughter of Lynn and Kay Horney, of Martinez, earned a 4.0 during the fall semester at the University of Georgia. Horney, a junior at UGA, is a 2003 graduate of Lakeside High School.

Southern Polytechnic State University Dean's List
Christopher W. Gamblin, of Harlem, has been named to the fall 2005 Dean's List at the School of Architecture, Civil Engineering Technology and Construction at Southern Polytechnic State University. Gamblin is a sophomore majoring in civil engineering. He attended Harlem High School and his parents are Billy and Denise Gamblin, of Harlem.
UGA Presidential Scholar
Bradford Huffman, of Martinez, was named a presidential scholar for the fall semester at the University of Georgia. It is the third consecutive semester that he has been awarded this honor by earning a 4.0 each semester.
Huffman is majoring in soils and hydrology. He is a 2003 honor graduate from Lakeside High School and is the son of Perry and Jeanie Huffman.
Middle Georgia College Dean's List recipient
Jacob Thad Gray, of Martinez, has been named to the fall semester Dean's List.
