Augusta Prep swim teams place

The Augusta Prep girls swim team took third place in the GISA state competition this past weekend, while the boys team earned an eighth-place finish. Kristin Dollar led the Lady Cavaliers with a third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:20.43.

In junior varsity competition, Augusta Prep's boys won the title and the girls squad took third place.

JV basketball action

In junior varsity basketball action, the Evans boys and Greenbrier girls claimed the Columbia County JV Tournament Championship on Saturday at Greenbrier. Evans won the title game 46-39 over Harlem, while the Greenbrier girls defeated Lakeside 22-20.

Andy Gray (Greenbrier), Rosbie Mutcherson (Lakeside), Carlos Beard (Harlem) and Brandon McCladdie (Evans) were named to the boy's JV All-Tournament Team, and Evans' Durante Williams was named Tournament MVP. On the girl's side, Tara Hensley (Evans), Mary Davignan (Harlem), Shelby Real (Lakeside) and Ganessa Choice (Greenbrier) were named to the JV All-Tournament Team and Greenbrier's Maya Antoine was named Tournament MVP.
