Air Force Cadet Alexander A. Marana and Air Force Cadet Nathaniel D. Beene have completed Basic Cadet Training and earned the rank of cadet fourth class at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Marana is a 2005 graduate of Evans High School and is the son of David and Marjorie Marana, of Evans. Beene is a 2005 graduate of Greenbrier High School and is the son of Ralph and Connie Beene, of Evans.

Army Reserve Pvt. Michael M. Paschal has graduated from the Light-Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Advanced Individual Training (AIT) course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, Md.

The course is designed to train soldiers to perform unit maintenance and recovery operations on gasoline- and diesel-fueled light-wheeled vehicles, including prime movers designated as five-ton or less and their associated trailers, and associated items. He is the son of Eddie R. and Remee A. Paschal, of Grovetown, and is a 2005 graduate of Greenbrier High School.

Marine Corps Pvt. Brian M. Boshell, the son of Wanda C. and Gregory A. Boshell, of Evans, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. Boshell followed this with three weeks of Marine Combat Training at Camp Lejuene, N.C.

Army National Guard Pfc. Joseph House has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. House is the son of Gerald and Lillian House, of Martinez, and is a 2005 graduate of Evans High School.

Coast Guard Seaman Kenneth B. Hood Jr., the son of Laura L. Baker of Augusta and Kenneth B. Hood of Saluda, S.C., recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J. Hood is a 2001 graduate of Evans High School.

Navy Seaman Recruit Alonzo Burnett Jr., the son of Ruvenia and Alonzo Burnett, of Augusta, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Burnett is a 2003 graduate of Lakeside High School.

Army Pfc. Joshua C. Sharp has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. He is the son of Jeff Woodard, of Evans, and is a 2005 graduate of Greenbrier High School.

SSgt. Michael L. McKinney, of Waynesboro, recently completed a 16-week Air Force Com-munications-Computer Control Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. McKinney is a Communications and Computer Systems Technical Control technician with the 117th Air Control Squadron of the Georgia Air National Guard at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah. He is employed by McKinney Wholesale of Martinez.

Air Force Airman Joel W. Adams has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Adams is the son of Jeffrey and Cassandra Adams, of Evans, and is a 2004 graduate of Evans High School.

Army Pvt. Ian A. Harvey has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia. He is the brother of Rochelle Wright, of Evans.
