3-on-3 basketball tournament

The second annual Relay for Life 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will be March 4 at Harlem Middle School. Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. The cost to participate is $25 per player. For information, call Andrea Smoak at 556-2135.

Umpire camp

The CSRA Baseball Umpires Camp, featuring Major League Baseball umpires Marvin Hudson and Fieldin Culbreth, will take place at Westside High School on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The camp is open to experienced amateur and beginning umpires and includes a GHSA clinic, Dixie certification and USSSA certification. Cost of the camp is $60 which includes lunch. For information, call 564-0051.

Umpire recruiting

The Augusta Baseball Officials Association is recruiting umpires for the 2006 high school season. Experience is a plus. Classroom and on-field training will be provided. The first meeting is Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. in the Westside High School gym. For information, call Frank Harast at (706) 210-1412.

Traveling baseball team needs players

Wrestling clinic

Lakeside High School's first-ever wrestling clinic will be held May 29-June 1 with clinician Nate Carr Sr., a 1988 Olympic Medalist and three-time NCAA Champion at Iowa State. Cost of the clinic is $150 and is limited to the first 50 paid wrestlers. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due by April 30.
