Yard sale benefit
The Columbia County 4-H Horse Club will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 4 at Marvin United Methodist Church, 4400 Wheeler Road, to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Equine Rescue Fund.
A college fair for home-schooled students will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in 170 University Hall on Augusta State University's campus. Representatives from ASU and Piedmont College will answer questions about college planning, admission requirements, standardized testing, financial aid and joint enrollment. First Baptist Church of Augusta, 3500 Walton Way, will hold an open house at 7 p.m. Thursday for parents interested in learning about the K3, K4 and K5 preschool and kindergarten programs. Call Patti Fowler at 731-5366.
Sharon Baptist Church, 6262 Cobbham Road, in Winfield, will hold a women's Bible study, Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit, with author Beth Moore, starting at 10 a.m. Monday.
