Preschool preview

Green training
The Columbia County Extension Service is offering turf and ornamental training for green industry workers. New traffic signal
A new traffic signal installed on North Belair Road at Ronald Reagan Drive will go into full operation Tuesday. The speed limit on that section of North Belair also will be reduced to 35 mph.
History series
The Augusta Museum of History's next Brown Bag History Series will be at noon Feb. 1 with author Isabel Vandervelde discussing Aiken County history. The program is free to members and costs $3 for nonmembers; reservations are required. Participants bring lunch; the museum provides beverage and dessert. Miss Harlem pageant
The 2006 Miss City of Harlem Scholarship Pageant will be Feb. 11 at Harlem High School. Applications are available at the Laurel and Hardy Museum or by e-mailing csrapageants@aol.com. The application deadline is Feb. 7.
