Senior pastor is named to leadership class

Dr. Hardie Davis Jr., of Augusta, Senior Pastor at Abundant Life Worship Center, has been named to the Year 2006 Class of Leadership Georgia. Davis serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Augusta and is vice-chairman of the Augusta Richmond County Board of Zoning Appeals. Davis founded and serves as the senior pastor of the Abundant Life Worship Center and founded Project Nehemiah, an outreach program for previously incarcerated individuals.

Student receives master's degree

Precious L. Barnes, of Philadelphia, Pa., was awarded a master's degree in biomedical sciences organizational leadership track from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in July 2005. Precious is the daughter of Steven and Pauline Barnes, of Evans. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Houghton College.

President's List

Michael B. Bishop Jr., of Grovetown, has been named to the President's List for the 2005 fall term at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga., by attaining a 4.0 grade point average. Bishop had to carry a minimum of 12 hours of academic course work and he made the dean's list for the semester.

Student is selected for ABAC achievement list

Cassie L. Whitaker, of Harlem, has been selected for the Distinguished Achievement List for the 2005 fall term at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Student selected as student marshal

Susan Wallace, a Winthrop University student from Evans, was among 24 juniors selected to work as student marshals at the university's Dec. 17 fall commencement ceremony. Marshals, who have among the top grade point averages in their class, help out during graduation by handing out programs, directing participants and coordinating seating.

Abraham Baldwin Dean's List

Andrew J. Heathman, of Harlem, has been named to the 2005 fall term Dean's List at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
