Fastpitch softball tryouts scheduled

The Georgia Rockers 16-Under Fastpitch Softball team is looking for experienced travel ball girls who are college bound. Tryouts will be held at Patriots Park at 10 a.m. Jan. 14. For information, call coach David Fearneyhough at 855-8438.

Traveling baseball team needs players

The Grease Lightning 12 and under traveling baseball team is seeking two more quality players to complete the roster for the 2006 season. Players must be 12 or younger as of May 1, 2006. For information, call Dean Glover at 868-4530 or Kevin Hunt at 210-0185.

Junior tennis

The CSRA Junior Tennis League will hold open registration for the winter/spring team tennis season through Jan. 15. Youths ages 8-18 may register by going to www.csratennis.com and in the menu under "Juniors" and "Registration," click on "Player." Participants will need a current USTA membership valid through April 2006 to register. To obtain a USTA membership, go to www.usta.com or call USTA at (800) 990-8782. The league fee is $20 plus a $2 TennisLink fee. League play starts Jan. 29 and ends March 19. Soccer openings

Baseball players needed

A USSSA 12 and under baseball program is seeking players for year-round travel ball across the South. Players cannot turn 13 before May 1. Serious commitment is required. Tryouts will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 8 and Jan. 22 at Riverside Park. For information, call 267-4066 or 840-1066.

Fast pitch softball openings
