Traveling baseball team needs players
The Grease Lightning 12 and under traveling baseball team is looking for two players to complete the roster for the 2006 season. Players must be 12 or under as of May 1, 2006. For information, contact Dean Glover at 868-4530 or Kevin Hunt at (706) 210-0185.
Junior tennis
The CSRA Junior Tennis League will hold open registration for the winter/spring team tennis season Jan. 1-15. Children ages 8-18 may register by going to www.csratennis.com and in the menu under "Juniors" and "Registration," click on "Player." Participants will need a USTA membership valid through April 2006 to register. To obtain a USTA membership, go to www.usta.com or call USTA at (800) 990-8782. The league fee is $20 plus a $2 TennisLink fee. League play starts Jan. 29 and ends March 19. Baseball players needed
A USSSA 12-and-under baseball program is seeking players for year-round travel ball across the South. Players cannot turn 13 before May 1. Commitment is required. Tryouts will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 8 and Jan. 22 at Riverside Park. Call 267-4066 or 840-1066.
Fastpitch softball openings
