Bird walk
Mistletoe State Park, in Winfield, will hold a bird walk from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 14 to welcome back birds returning from Central and South America, and search for others that winter in Georgia and have not returned to their nesting areas up north. Bring binoculars or borrow some from the park. The only cost is $3 for parking. For information, call 541-0321.
Red Cross classes
The Augusta Red Cross is offering the following classes at its office at 1322 Ellis St.:
Adult CPR, 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, and on Jan. 16 and 30; cost is $35.
Infant/child CPR, 6-9 p.m., Jan. 4 and 17; cost is $35.
First aid, 6-9 p.m., Jan. 5, 18 and 31; cost is $35.
CPR/Professional Rescuer class from 6-9:30 p.m. Jan. 9-10; cost is $50.
CPR/Professional Rescuer review class from 6-9:30 p.m. Jan. 19; cost for the review is $45.
A baby-sitter's training class also will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Fort Gordon Youth Center. Participants must be 11-15 years old; cost is $25.

Ronald McDonald fundraiser at Lynx
The Augusta Ronald McDonald House will hold Pack the House for the House night at 7:05 p.m. March 18 at the Augusta Lynx game at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center. Tickets are available at the Ronald McDonald House at 938 Greene St., or by calling 724-5901.
