What the display includes: Plenty of lights hanging on and draped over almost everything in the yard; 16-17 inflatables; and a Nativity scene in front.
Why do you do the light display each year, and how many years have you set up the display? "I've been doing it for three or four years, and it gets a little bit bigger this year. I'm not actually finished with it this year. I still have 6,000 or 7,000 more lights to put up. I've already got 10 or 12 times that many up. I just like Christmas," Mr. Richey said. He also sets up the display for his grandchildren.
Have you ever gotten comments on your display? "A lot of people come by, and a lot of people stop. Other folks just stop and take pictures."
What is your favorite part of the light display? "All of it ... I like the Nativity part of it. Everybody else seems to like that. Mostly everybody likes the lights."
What is your favorite light display? "We went down to Metter (Ga.) and saw the one at Guido Gardens, and I really liked that. We used to go to Crawfordville, but they stopped doing that."
