Garden seminar

The Columbia County Extension Service monthly Gardening at Lunch series will discuss growing muscadines at 12:10 p.m. today in the auditorium of the Columbia County Government Complex in Evans. For information, call 868-3413.

Parent orientation

Harlem High School counselors will hold parent orientation for rising ninth-graders from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday in the school auditorium. The orientation will provide information for pupils moving from middle to high school.

Church concert

Performing artist Steve Green will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at West Acres Baptist Church, sponsored by Augusta Christian Schools. Help decorate our tree!

The Columbia County News-Times office has a Christmas tree in the lobby, but we need ornaments. We're looking for photos - wallet-size school pictures are fine - of smiling Columbia County children to decorate our tree. We'll also publish the photos as ornaments on a printed "tree" in our Christmas Day issue, and one child will be chosen to be the "star" of the tree.
