C-CASE session

Columbia County Advocates for Special Education (C-CASE) will hold a "parents' day out" day of respite care for special-needs children and their siblings from noon-4 p.m. Saturday at the Evans High School commons area. Cost is $5 per hour, and $2 per additional child. Games, snacks and entertainment will be provided.

Holiday shopping

Stevens Creek Elementary School's fourth annual Holiday Shopping Extravaganza, with more than 30 vendors, will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the school, on Evans to Locks Road. For information, call 868-3705.

Santa Shop

River Ridge Elementary's Santa Shop will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Saturday shopping will include complimentary breakfast, entertainment and a visit from Santa.

Holiday stories

Gibbs Library will hold a holiday storytime and craft hour for children at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Participants may wear pajamas. Registration is required. For information, call 863-1946.

Santa's gift shop

Vendors are needed for the gift shop of Brookwood Elementary School's annual Breakfast with Santa, to be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday. Call 650-1844.

Christmas concert

The U.S. Army Signal Corps Band will present a free Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at First Baptist Church in Augusta. Free tickets are available at the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Fort Gordon Credit Union, Georgia Bank and Trust and Augusta Chamber of Commerce.
