Pageant canceled
The Miss Senior Harlem Beauty Pageant scheduled for Friday has been canceled.
JROTC parade
The Evans High School JROTC Knight Battalion will conduct its fall review on Blanchard Field at 1 p.m. today. The parade will honor all veterans.
Magic show
Evans High School's drama department will hold It's Magic, a salute to magic in movies, featuring magician Ken Moore, at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Evans High Auditorium, 4550 Cox Road, Evans. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $8 for students and are available at the school. The event is a fundraiser for the drama department. Call 868-3663, extension 243.
Open house
Kidnetic Energy, a child physical therapy and fitness center at 536 Grand Slam Drive off Evans to Locks Road in Evans, will hold an open house from 1-4 p.m. Saturday with a sports arena moonwalk, food, games and door prizes. Call Tiffany Maguire at 854-8434.
Porcelain sale
The Palette and Porcelain Artists Association will hold its 34th annual exhibit tea sale of hand-painted porcelain from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark United Methodist Church on Washington Road, Augusta. Admission is free.
Adopt-a-Stream

Evans planning
A planning session for a final celebration for the former Evans High School/current Evans Middle School will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 25 at El Valle Mexican Restaurant in West Town Shopping Center, 3830 Washington Road, Martinez. The event in the planning will also be a fundraiser to move the pillars and arch in front of the school.
