Evans cheerleaders to perform at Sugar Bowl

The Evans High School competition cheerleading squad, led by coach Kelly Garnto, has been asked to participate in the Sugar Bowl halftime festivities Jan. 2. Garnto said the squad must raise $6,000 by the end of the month to help offset the cost of the three-day event. Fundraisers and a cheerleading camp already have given the team $3,000, but the cheerleaders still need help in reaching their goal.
