Porcelain sale

The Palette and Porcelain Artists Association will hold its 34th annual exhibit tea sale of hand-painted porcelain from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark United Methodist Church on Washington Road, Augusta. Admission is free.

Adopt-a-Stream

Limited space is available for volunteers interested in attending the Columbia County Adopt-a-Stream Getting Started workshop Dec. 3 at Martinez-Columbia Fire and Rescue on Oakley Pirkle Road.

Heggie's Rock guide training

Training sessions for volunteers to lead field trips to Heggie's Rock preserve in Appling will be held Dec. 13. The sessions will be conducted by the Nature Conservancy in collaboration with Dr. Judy Gordon of Augusta State University.

Miss Senior Harlem

The Miss Senior Harlem Beauty Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Harlem High School auditorium. The contest is open to Harlem residents 50 and older, and proceeds will benefit the Laurel and Hardy Museum. E-mail csrapageants@aol.com or call Kathy Ham, 556-0401.

Holiday bazaar

Windmill Plantation will hold a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Windmill Plantation clubhouse on Windmill Lane off William Few Parkway.

Children can have their pictures taken with Santa from 10 a.m. to noon. Call 210-4235.

Christian concert

Augusta Christian Schools will play host to Christian-music singer Steve Green in a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at West Acres Baptist Church on Gibbs Road, Evans. The high school and elementary choruses will sing backup.

Tickets are on sale at the school and at Family Christian Store and Lifeway Christian Store; they cost $14 for adults, $10 for children under 12, and $16 at the door. Call Lynn Wilkerson at 863-2905, ext. 136.
