Marvin United Methodist Church's pumpkin patch, with pumpkins, mums and hay for sale for fall decorating, is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Oct. 31 at the church, at Wheeler Road and Belair Road. Fall revival
The White Rock Baptist Church gospel choir will celebrate its 46th anniversary at 3 p.m. today. Fall revival at the church, at 1870 White Rock Road in Lincolnton, continues at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The Rev. King discussion
Christian messages in the work of horror writer Stephen King will be the topic of a discussion from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30 at the offices of Church of the Holy Comforter, 1105 Fury's Lane, Suite C, Martinez. The discussion will be led by Barry Paschal, the publisher of The Columbia County News-Times and an avid King fan, and will include Salem's Lot, The Stand, Desperation and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. The Church of Our Savior at 4227 Columbia Road in Martinez will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 5.
Harvest Fest
In Focus Church of Evans will hold Harvest Fest 2005 starting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31 with candy for children, a cookout, praise and worship by the In Focus band, a special performance by Wave and a video presentation at 9 p.m. for youth (with parental discretion advised).
