The Sit & Sleep Shop comes to town
The sprawling retail growth in Evans along one corridor of Washington Road has lured another business.
The Sit & Sleep Shop is another new business on Washington Road in Evans. The shop will feature mattresses and a large selection of recliners and home accent pieces.

"I was out checking on areas to do this business and this one became available to me," said Dave Jones, a co-owner and operator of The Sit & Sleep Shop, adjacent to American Sportsman Inc. on Washington Road. "With all of the business moving this way and being on Washington Road, it just seemed like the right place."
Jones, who will run the store with his wife, Mary, said the idea to start the business came after many years of working for a retail furniture chain.
"I've been with a large retail furniture chain for 22 years," he said. "I left that to go on my own."
The Sit & Sleep Shop will sell mattresses and a large selection of recliners and home accent pieces.
The business is set to open later this month.
