West Lake closure
The Furys Ferry Road entrance to West Lake will be closed starting at 5 a.m. Monday until noon Oct. 31 for construction of storm drains as part of the Furys Ferry widening project.
River Ridge bazaar
River Ridge Elementary School will hold a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 5, with vendor booths from companies including Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Cookie Lee Jewelry. Booth space is available. For information, call Janeabeth Wells at 854-8460.
Gaza presentation

Sierra Club meets

Mistletoe events
South Carolina storyteller Tim Hall will provide an evening of storytelling at 7 p.m. Friday at the assembly shelter of Mistletoe State Park, 3727 Mistletoe Road in Winfield. The annual dulcimer workshop and concert will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and the family fall festival will be from 5-10 p.m. Saturday with hay rides, a band, games and a bonfire.
