Deere sends hurricane help

Deere & Co.'s commercial products tractor plant in Columbia County finished assembly Sept. 23 on three John Deere tractors that will be donated to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The company's plant in Grovetown is shipping the tractors, through dealerships, to St. Gabriel, La., and Tchula and Hattiesburg, Miss. The donation is part of Deere & Co.'s $1 million corporatewide contribution to the relief efforts.
