Twins Trinatee Satora Belk (left) and Gaige River Belk placed in the "New Star Discovery- Most Beautiful Baby Contest" recently held at Augusta Mall. Gaige won first place for Most Beautiful Boy in the 8-14 month group and Trinatee won second runner-up for Most Beautiful Girl in the 8-40 month group. She also wom Prettiest Eyes overall. Gaige and Trinatee are the children of Grant and Bethany Belk of Martinez. The children are now eligible for the state finals to be held at the Radisson Riverfront in June, 2006.

Maggie Dillard, a fifth grade student at Riverside Elementary, gave 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love, an agency that provides wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illness.
